As you may know, we have played a game similar to Balderdash in youth group where I find uncommon words and then without telling anyone the actual definition, everyone writes down a made-up definition [usually either one that sounds like it could be the actual definition or else one that is funny]. Here is one made-up definition that was a winner.
Saveloy: “When a retired loy; similar to a boy under age 10 saves a person, place or thing. This has not been used since 1842 when Tom Bucket saved a small red chick from blowing up.” [These famous words were penned by Michaella]

We had an Apples to Apples tournament last night at the Fortunes. There was food, fellowship, fun, fudge, and fond memories created as a result of us all setting aside our differences and playing this game. There were about 20 of us so we split into two groups of 10 and then the top 4 from each group advanced to a championship round. Johannes, Michaella, Leah, and Anna all did especially well. So if you want to win at Apples to Apples don’t play with them.
